Sue and Dwight - August 2011 News
We’ve had a great Summer so far…hope the same goes for you! There are a few things coming up this month we want to tell you about…
Saturday, August 6, 4pm, Fresh Water Jamboree 2011, Riverside Park Bandshell, Guelph ON
We are very excited to have been invited to play at this event. The Fresh Water Jamboree is an annual concert which raises awareness about Fresh Water in Wellington County, Ontario, Canada and the world. For sure ‘When The Rains Don’t Come’ and ‘Mercury Rising’ will be on our set list. The festival begins at noon. Here is the line-up for the day:
Bamidele; Peter Boyer; James Gordon; City of Guelph Presentation; Dennis Guamond; (4pm) Sue and Dwight; Guy Stephan; Chynna Lewis; Treson; Russell Leon; Wellington Water Watchers presentation; Alise Marlane; Sell the Vatican; The House Plants; Paul Mokren Band.
Thursday, August 18, 8-10pm Live Radio Interview with Steve Clarke on Acoustic Planet on CHES 88.1 FM - LISTEN ONLINE at www.88.1fmradio.ca
This is going to be fun. We were happy to be invited to go out to Erin Ontario for this interview, but YOU don’t have to go anywhere to listen because it will be streamed live online. Just click on the link above. The host, Steve Clarke and I have been Facebook Friends for awhile but have never actually met in person so I am looking forward to that. We listen to the show often and really enjoy the mix of music he plays. Steve is a wonderful supporter of the indie music scene.
Friday, August 19, 8pm, The Celebrity Club, Performing Arts Lodge, 110 The Esplanade, Toronto, ON
We played at The Celebrity Club for the first time in April and had a blast. It is actually a private club but you are welcome to come as guests on the evening we are playing. Drinks are reasonable, snacks are tasty, the people are awesome, there’s no cover charge, and it’s just a great time all around. At this club, we pull out some of our 60’s folk faves in addition to our own Sue and Dwight folk faves! Hey, and there are sure to be some celeb sightings…folks from the performing arts world who live at PAL (Performing Arts Lodge).
Also, we want to send out a HUGE thank you to those of you who downloaded our single ‘When The Rains Don’t Come’ from iTunes http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/when-rains-dont-come-single/id449985671, and CDBaby http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/sueanddwight3 and other fine online retailers! We appreciate your support and hope you enjoy the song.
Okay, that’s all for now. But if something else pops up, you will be hearing from us.
Sue and Dwight
